that sucks, but I applaud the man for keeping a positive attitude through all of what he is going through. if I ever get a serious illness, I will definitly remember Gleason and will use him as a role model and motivation to keep fighting.

Much respect Gleason. Stronger than most would be. Prayers to you and your family.

It is a slowly progressive terrible disease. You never get better only hope you don't get worse for a while

Not doubting that, but I watch my mother in law die slowly from Alzheimer's, right there with ALS. Both along with cancer are terrible. Friend of ours was gone from ALS within a year. God bless Steve, we take so much for granted!

Makes sense.
Because ALS and Alzheimers are opposites.

Ain't that the truth. One takes your body, one takes your mind. Alzheimers is much harder on the family no doubt.

oh for sure man...I wasn't trying to belittle any other diseases or situations but with ALS you literally just deteriorate into yourself...its like you're a prisoner inside your own body. I think it is harder on the person where Alzheimer's seems to be much harder on the loved ones.

That is such a sad deal. Amazing how wonderful Steve's perspective has been through all of this, I sure hope he makes it to the opener.

I know Sean Payton has been pretty involved with Gleason's charity over the past couple of years. With the extra time on Sean's hands partnering up with Steve even further would be a great thing to do while serving his suspension...assuming Satan errr I mean Goodell would allow it.
