I have assumed all along no further than the second round, but given the relative turmoil of the top two teams in the East, now I am not so sure.

they will not beat the bulls in the second round.

they have the hawks right now, who are guaranteed to lose first round as long as TMac is on their roster

If they got the Heat, they would have like a 15 or 20% chance of beating them.

I think it's even less of a shot for them to beat the Bulls.

However, if they beat one of them in the conference semis, the chances of them winning in the conference finals goes up, IMO. That would be a huge boost of confidence.

Depends. I think they match up better against Miami than Chicago, because Chicago will absolutely murder them on the glass.

I think they could take Miami out. The Bulls will be harder- if they have an injury-free series, though, they could beat anybody. If one of he big 3 go down they probably lose the series in short order.

Confidence level? That's the point your analysis and prediction is going to turn on?

If they stay healthy, they definitely stand a shot to make it out of the East.
