I've been getting worked in chapter 3 so far. Not even by gargoyles...fricking bandits.
Not sure I'm a fan of the last sign character skill... Adrenaline takes too long to build and slowing stuff down isn't quite as useful as it is in mass effect

Combat became skyrim type trivial about half way through chapter 2 for me, full swordsman once you get the damage reducing perks and wear good resist gear. Of course this was on easy for my first play through.

Something I am trying out is saving my talent upgrades until the three other trees unlock, i do not like any of the talents in the noob tree and if it works I will be able to use those on real talents.

Is the beginner tree related to overall level or how many points you put into that tree?

I think the other trees unlock at lvl 6 or 7
So if you can make it to lvl 6 or 7 without spending any in Training, should be able to jump right into the advanced ones

That's what I am testing out now, the other trees unlock as stated somewhere around 6-8. Hopefully it won't make me put points in the noob tree. I will let you know when I find out.
