Interesting question from Rabalais: After 2006 Final Four, what happened?

1) Didn't get Darrell Arthur or Scottie Reynolds to come to LSU
2) Didn't get DJ Augustin to come to LSU
3) Failed to convince Magnum Rolle that he in fact wasn't Kevin Durant
4) Dameon Mason was garbage in French terms
5) Tack Minor was a cancer to the team
6) Anthony Randoph was 1 and done
7) Glen Davis became selfish
8) Terry Martin actually regressed as a player over his time at LSU
I'm sure I can come up with more.

This right here. I remember barely losing to UT early in the regular season and knew that we were a true point guard away from a big run (we had just beaten A&M in a top 10 match up)

It was obvious to anyone that Temple simply could not handle the ball primarily and his 3pt shooting percentage never rose above 30%. Abysmal.

That's where you are wrong. It was a symptom of the success being about him rather than the accomishments of the team and players. The rules of society did not apply to him - he was bigger. It was where the evidence he was losing the "team" became apparent.
That team going to the Final 4 actually only masked the problems for a year.
