Anyone know where to find 8 of them? A buddy if mine is giving one to each of the groomsmen in his wedding but he is having trouble finding them. Model doesn't matter. They must be in working condition but he is willing to sand and refinish them.

I did the same thing a little over a year ago I only needed 6 though.
I was planning on spending about $100 each anyway, I found then on Budsgunshop.com. They were 99 a piece and I used Jim's in baton rouge to FFL them. They charged me $50 total for the order.

Mosin Nagants for sale at Cabelas

Am I reading this right? You can puchase this rifle for 149 bucks? I read the page. Said "rifles are great shooters". Heck for 149 bucks I might buy me one or three.

Gander mountain and cabelas are two big box stores that carry them. You want to try a local smaller gun store and just have him order your buddy eight of them. Sorry I am not in BR so I don't know the local shops to call

$149 is not a great price on them.
I think budsgunshop or impactguns has them for $109 right now.

Aimsurplus.com has the current best prices if they still have them in stock. Next best is classicarms.us.

I bought one from LINK / at a local gun show. They don't have the cheapest prices, but I can tell you they don't sell beat up junk either.

Mine has a great bore, no cracks in the stock, all the accessories, and its very accurate.

I would like to have one. Just cause it is an old rifle that actually still shoots. But I just like guns.

My brother and I got each one from Cabelas a few months ago when they were $99. Both is great shape. One was an Izzy and the other a Tula.

He said he checked Cabelas and they didn't have any, but perhaps he didn't check very well. I will pass several of these names on to him and see what he finds. And yes... it is a bad arse groomsmen gift. I was about to go buy one for myself and he dropped this idea on me the same day. Needless to say, I am very happy with my friend, and happy that I'm in the wedding.

On a side note, they are good for shooting anything that moves, and just for fun in general. If I'm not mistaken they're the most or one of the most produced guns ever. They were first made in the late 1800s (wiki says 1891) and the last country to retire them from active use was in 1998. The Russian military used them for WWI and WWII. Truly an awesome piece of history if you're a fan of reliable rifles.

-Thanks guys.

classicarms.us has them. Place is in NC

Also, on another note. Tell your buddy not to tell the gun store employee what he plans on doing with them. This could technically classify as a straw sale.

I found a guy on Bayou Shooters that was in Monroe that had his FFL and had bought a case of them. Got to take my pick. This was a few months ago. You might check there to see if someone is selling them in his area.

There is a gun store around Lafayette that always gets cases of them. I'll try and see if I can find the name.

Look at this review on the Cabelas site. Somebody must have run over his 700 with a truck that he's not aware of.

by far the best rifle i have ever shot. it will put my Remington 700 to shame. the ammo is inexpensive recoil isn't bad at all. if u want a good cheap gun with a lot of power and range for really cheap it is the the way to go. i love my gun i shoot deer hogs and everything with it no problem bringing them down.
