My practice report:
It was a lot of fun.

I have no idea what snake is talking about. Mett looked fantastic. He has a great touch and was hitting the receivers perfectly.

Rivers is really tall and thin! He needs to pack on some muscle. He looks like he has to use more effort to throw the ball as far as Mett, but all in all, he looked good.

Randall also looked good. Has one hell of an arm. He throws every pass almost too hard. I can see what they were talking about with his accuracy issues. He threw a couple passes that were completely off, but the 3 QBs looked good. Very exciting!

There were a lot of drops from our tight ends. Room for improvement there.

The wide receivers had a few drops, but also made some great catches that should have been off target. Beckham definitely looks like our best receiver. He also looks like he got more toned over the off season. Shepard barely missed a great deep pass by Mett. Landry has tremendous potential as well. He looked really good and might be as up-and-coming this season as Beckham was this past season.

They had the running backs doing passing drills, which was cool to see.they actually caught a lot of passes. Almost no drops there. Ware and Blue both looked really good.

Copeland is a beast! He got passed to a lot and I didn't see him drop one! He's going to have a big season this year. He's huge.

Tyrann was a best when they were running plays. He was jumping pretty high and knocking down passes, and making crazy dives to try to intercept it. Needless to say, his coverage skills have improved exponentially.

Simon had a great inception that made the students go "OOOHH!" it was fun to see.

Brad wing is still a godly punter. We was nailing all of them deep. He was also kind of playing around and tried a few over the head trick plays. It was great.

It was great to see all the players in their environment. They were all joking around and hamming it up.

The part after the practice was hilarious. The players were cheering on the students that caught the punts, and making fun of those that missed it.

Mett had a very impressive moment were he was showing off and trying to throw the ball into a stationary target from the 20. It had to be like 70 yards. He just barely missed it as it pinged right off the rim around the opening. He missed a few times after that too after he moved closer. The players were making fun of him and he did a great job of playing it off. Something about the way he carries himself and interacts with the team tells me that he's THE guy to lead this team.

ETA: forgot to mention a great play I saw were Mett read the defense perfectly and tucked and ran it himself. Got like 10 or 15 yards on that run.

I saw Mett in last week's scrimmage, he looked very good. I wouldn't be worried about one little rantard thought he saw.

I agree with you on the TEs, they did the same when I saw them. Damn shame Deangelo couldn't have played with Mett

I thought Jacobs would be a beast...but at the end of the day this isn't too big of a deal

He does seem to have some serious chemistry with Landry. I left much more confident about our WRs.

I was there so I will give my report. Mett looked good to me, most of his throws were on point. He seemed to like to go with the long ball a lot, which I like.

I noticed during pass skell and team when we threw the ball, it was mostly outs comebacks, flags, corner routes, and verticals. We very rarely threw over the middle or in routes. Although the best offensive play of the day was a skinny post to OB via Mett. Shep dropped at least 1 vertical and a few shorter passes. Landry caught some out routes, and Williams caught quite a few deep balls.

Rivers looked ok, he wasn't as consistent as i would have liked, his low release is not very quick, and some of his balls have a lot of wabble. Randle looked better than I expected, and I think it will be a legit battle for the 2nd qb spot.

They were only in helmets so I didn't get much from the lineman and linebackers. The linebackers were pretty good in coverage, although the offense rarely threw over the middle. The defensive backs are as good as advertised. TM7. Looked really good swatting at least 3 balls. Simon had a pick 6 on Mett, which was the defensive play of the day. They also had a scoop and score during team. Eric Reid look real good. Lost on was out and 34 stepped in real nicely but blew one coverage and the coaches jumped him.

Wings dad was coaching kickers, and I did not see Michael Ford, Terrance Mcgee or Agyehere.

When is LSU's Spring game, I'm interested in seeing their team. Granted it will just be a Spring Game, but I still wanna see Mathieu's coverage, I also wanna see Simon, as I don't personally think he's as good as the rest of the DBs.

How are your LBs looking? That was the weak point of your D last season.

Not quite as good as future sure thing 1st rounders, sure. But, he is a legit future NFL CB.

Pure cover skills, in the past few years I would put his peak only below Claiborne. (Both are more consistent in coverage than PP7. Yes I said it.) PP was more likely to be burned on a double move, Simon is the most likely to lose a step on a fast WR running downfield. But, Simon's last second makeup ability may surpass the other two. He isn't as good at turning that burst into a play on the ball, but he is great at knocking the ball away at the last second. I won't compare him to TM7, because TM7 hasn't consistently played a pure CB position yet.

Simon is a legit 6'2 1/2" and will probably run right around a 4.6 flat. Add in long arms and good feel for breaking up passes, and he will make a solid second rounder for someone. Maybe the end of the first if a team really likes him.
