Is Magee getting much attention this spring?

I don't think it matters... He's the 4th string RB

Haven't read much about him so far. I really wish he would have redshirted last year. Who knows, that is not out of the realm of possibility this year, much like Maclin's situation last year.

Not really, guy is just buried on the RB depth chart. Tough sledding to get looks there when there's a revitalized Ware, Hilliard, Ford, Blue and a big newcomer in Hill. He's just an odd man out.

Once again I'll say I'd love to see what Blue can bring at WR, he has that perfect big WR build we need this year and I don't see him getting more carries than Ford, Hilliard or Ware. Would help out Magee get a few more looks as well. Hill should probably redshirt.

I hope so. I thought that Magee looked as effective on the field as any of the RB's last year. Could wind up being the best of the bunch IMO.

Magee would start almost anywhere else, it really is a sad situation for him IMO. He is from my old high school, so I would really like to see him get more of a shot. We just have an absolute stable at that position.

I would have to disagree. He looked good, but has not looked as exceptional as others.

agreed.

Hilliard looked the best to me but really you could make a case for any of the top 3.

I can't agree with that.

Him and ford are hurt. Its actually good we have so many backs cus if the season started today we only have three that would be ready to play.

thus it is, with RBs. they have the shortest shelf life.

Magee looked really good to me last year when he was on the field. Limited view admittedly. He can redshirt this year which I normally don't think matters with a rb but we are just so loaded it might be to his advantage if he ever wants to get a chance to show the pro scouts what he can do.

That's what I was thinking too...especially since he's coming off an injury.

I don't know why any running back (like Magee) less than 225lbs would ever sign with LSU right now. Magee will never be a feature back for Les.

I think it is possible you are right but for the wrong reason. I don't think it has anything at all to do with size but what you are able to do.

Look at Ware. He isn't the biggest back but he was our short yardage back, go to guy until he got injured.

That got Hilliard his shot and I am not as convinced as most that Hilliard is going to be the best back this year. I wouldn't be shocked don't misunderstand but it could just as easily be Ford or Ware or even Hill for that matter.

Count me in as well. Magee and Hill (unless he's just head-n-shoulders better than the others which is possible but highly unlikely) should RS in '12.

Hill aint redshirting. Besides being ready to play, that would make him a 24 year old Senior. Which is absolutely retarded for a RB with NFL aspirations.
