1. Aureole at Mandalay Bay
2. Steak House at Circus Circus (probably not the best in vegas, but it's the only one I've been too and it was very good).
3. Toss up. Can't really pick a 3rd.

Prime steakhouse Bellagio

Pizza place across from piano bar in NY

Other than those two places, I wasn't real picky. Ate wherever I felt. Prime is very expensive. The pizza at New
York is fricking fabulous. Especially after you get good and fricked up.

Blueberry Hill

Basically a Dennys. With a little more variety. But I had the best fricking pancakes I have ever had. AND I was sober.

1. Il Mullino, Ceasar's Forum shops. Best meal I've had in my life. Great service as well.
2. Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, Ceasar's. Great lunch spot. They have a large selection of tequila if you're into that.
3. Bouchon, Venetian. Good breakfast spot.

Lotus of Siam - I love Thai food, and this is the best.
Bouchon - Thomas Keller, enough said.
Any of the top end steakhouses - the food will all be first rate. Pick one for the ambiance you desire.

I'm sure there are better, but I've enjoyed Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak and Emeril's Fish House at the MGM Grand, and the buffet at Mandalay Bay isn't bad (South Strip suggestions), and loved the Japanese restaurant at Bellagio (I believe they call it Yellowtail now). I had the best Aji sashimi there ever. All of these meals were comped, which made them taste even better.

Worst Vegas meal ever: Luxor lunch buffet.

Burger Bar is cool. Good beer selection. And most important in Vegas. It is normal priced if you don't pound different beers.

By the second or third day I am always saying "Where is a Quizno's? I don't want to spend 50 bucks on lunch. I just want some food."

I'm leaving next Sunday. My favorite is still "Hugo's Cellar" in the FourQueens. It's awesome.

Once away from the high-end dining in tourist traps, try some local bargains. I try to not eat at any establishment I can find back home, aka do the "when in Rome" thing on vacations.

Cheaper buffets than Bellagio/Wynn/Bally's, are World Spice Market buffet at Planet Hollywood, has a crepe grill, and a Vegas rarity in Greek/Lebanese section. Also, Rio's World Buffet & Seafood Buffet, Stations Buffets at Red Rock and GVR are solid most any time of day.

Local, good, and fairly cheap meals..

-Lotus Of Siam(seedy strip mall..but great Thai..lunch buffet a fab bargain..order at night from the Northern menu)
-Golden Flower(great old-school Chinese..in a basic bland red dining room of strip mall)
-Chicago Joe's(old school Italian in a Mosca-esque setting downtown..affordable)
-Ping Pang Pong(Chinese..in Gold Coast hotel..dim sum..ala carte menu..wok stir fry..open very late)
-Capriotti's Sandwich Stands('The Bobbie'..a roast turkey over stuffed dressing with cranapple spread sandwich..Thanksgiving was never so good..Capastrami..Slaw B Jo)

For Mexican..Macayo's, Roberto's, Dona Maria's, Lindo Michoacan, etc..and Rubio's for fast food.

Lebanese/Persian..Zaytoon, Ali Baba, Paymon's, Marrakech..

Breakfast..Original Pancake House, Hash House A Go-Go, Egg & I, Station's Casinos Breakfast Buffets($9) etc..

How difficult is it to get into Rio's famed seafood buffet? Never tried it.

An honorable mention is the Tap House if you're a Cleveland Browns fan.

I'm not sure during mainstream dining hours? A friend and I went right when it opened around 3 or 4 PM the few times I've been.
