"I think that Coach Johnson and I are on the same page because he wants LSU basketball to be successful and I want LSU basketball be to successful.”
Temple and others just think that Johnson is not part of the equation to make it successful...

No TJ fan here, but Temple needs to GTFO. Stop meddling.
PS - Does Temple consider himself a potential coach here?

what is wrong with CT saying the truth. tj can't recruit for shite and you can't win if you don't recruit.

Temple was very instrumental in getting local talent to stay at LSU...Temple brothers, Bass, Davis, Swift, Thomas, etc. but I don't believe he was on board with TJ hire and has not only bowed out but potentially is hurting our chances at local guys.

Temple, 59, blazed the trail for the future of Bayou Bengal basketball when former coach Press Maravich made the 6-8 kid from Kentwood LSU’s first African-American player in 1971.
NO WAY!!!

CT has done a ton for LSU basketball but he is not a puppet who helps out when asked and shuts up the rest of the time. he is not saying anything damaging. tj is not doing a good job.

True story. I think back when JP did SEC basketball they mentioned that one time when Garrett Temple was at the FT line.

Johnson told reporters last week. “In 20 years of SEC play, LSU’s been over .500 five times. Five times. And here, we were on the verge of that (in 2011-12). I don’t pay much attention to that, but I thought that was really interesting.
Holy shite, didnt realize we sucked this bad historically.

yep. years of mediocre-suck, then great year, then mediocre-suck, then great, etc.
Only won one SEC Tournament in history. Never made it past the NIT Final Four or NCAA Final Four.

Temple is pissed off that TJ won't kiss his ring.
And when I say "ring", I'm being nice.

I think this is correct and I have been rough on TJ for THIS past season.
After reading that, while Im not sure TJ will get the job done here, I don't want Temple having much of a say in that matter either so I have decided to lay off and give the man atleast this next season

CBB recruiting requires you to deal with slimey people, be prepared for tons of mediocrity if trent continues to believe he's above it

TJ basically saying 'get off my dick, this prgram was always shite'.....

But he coaches offense so well...

Temple has told me personally that the only reason that LSU hasn't fired Johnson is because he's black, ain't no way a white coach would have survived.
Posted on 3/19/12 at 12:02 pm to Blind Ref
He was hired to elevate the program not say "ah well things are about the same as they've always been" Sounds pretty chicken shite Trent
