trying to find the right pair of pants for my AT journey in a few weeks, normally when i go on day hikes i just wear a pair of under armor shorts and a dri fit shirt.
but it sucks not having pockets, and i know that will get really annoying over a 4 day hike.
im looking at the Columbia Sportswear Aruba III Pants. anyone have any experience with these? would you recommend them?

I have a couple pairs of these LINK that I like. I think those you listed are less expensive but probably fine pants for what you need. I have no experience with your particular model, but do have some Columbia stuff and like it.

If it's gonna be humid, better look for something else. They don't breath too well even with the legs zipped off.

I like the Columbia pants and shorts. You can get some with a few pockets on the side and still stay cool.
