As most know, Draft Express is the best site out there and only does a few updates during the year. This is the latest:

Has the Hornets going with Drummond and Miller, though these don't take team needs into account. Interesting that they have Barnes at 6 and Perry Jones only fell to 7.

It would suck if we passed on Barnes for Drummond..

I would love that. I think Chad Ford also updated his mock draft because he now has us taking Zeller with the 13th pick

I'd take Robinson, Sullinger, or Barnes over Drummond at this point. Potential is there and UCONN is a mess right now, but right now he isn't showing enough to take him over these other guys.

Drummond looks like he's going to be a huge bust. I don't see anything special about him.

I feel the same way but if we end up drafting him, it will be exciting about having a guy who has all the tools to be great. Even if there is a big risk. I'm not saying I necessarily want him though

Short term, maybe. But long term, Drummond has elite potential. Barnes' own ceiling puts him somewhere between Luol Deng, Paul Pierce, and Danny Granger.

All very good players in their own rights, but not an all-time factor on both ends of the court like Drummond can. Dude's unreal.

Still. Can't hate on either selection, myself.

I hear you. That potential is tantalizing. It's just tough to spend the number 2 pick on a guy who is pretty much all potential and no production over other options who have potential and production.

That's why I really hope we get the #1 pick. There wont be any debate about it.

Thanks for the heads up OP I updated my monthlyish mock draft thread if anyone wants to see how the top 10 players have been moving.

whatsup with these 6'10'' to 7 footers being so damn skinny nowadays (in the 250 range or under). what happened to the good ole tall, hefty monsters down low? i know Shaq was listed at 294 when he came out of LSU. even Mek is listed at 255, and he's 6'10. that's some solid weight to push around for his frame.

put some meat on those bones, kids.

Shaq was pretty skinny as a freshman. A lot of these guys are coming out much earlier than they used to. Look at 22 year old Tyler Zeller, 7'0 250 vs. his 19 year old brother Cody 6'11 215.

He was skinny relative to how he turned out but he was still in the 250-260 range.

Yeah, I just looked up the freshman roster and he was listed at 286. That is one large human to be a "skinny" 286 lbs

Just wait until you see Nerlens Noel who will be a freshman next year. Kid is a 6'10' 200 lb Center but he's supposed to be a great shot blocker. Even Anthony Davis who's skinny as hell was 220 out of HS.

Hate Drummond. Love Miller. Love that they don't have us picking two PFs. Debatable whether Miller will actually enter, though.

Remember that right now most mocks are just matching up a player ranking with team records and not taking team needs into account.
