I just purchased one and it was a terrible experience beginning to end.

This friend at work suggested them based on price and construction and honestly that's the only two things they didn't totally fudge up.

1) The sales guy told me he had one on the lot and a guy was looking at it. So I took off of work to go check it out, there's ten on the lot. I ask him about it and he just smiles and said that at least I'm here blah blah blah. Either way it didn't matter, on the phone I told him I wanted it, so why is he trying to do a sales pitch, I was buying regardless.

2) The guy gives me all his info, asks me how high my fence was, I ask why, he said he didn't know. He scratches out the question. I later find out (after moving part of my fence) that they need to know that because they can drop some of the buildings in over a fence. I call the company, talk to the same guy, he said it was not him that told me that. So I start telling him all his info (where he lives, he's home and cell number, all this he gave to me) and then he said "I guess that was me, I'll find out about the fence and call you back tomorrow." - No call

3) They call to tell me they will deliver it at 9 a.m., I say that's no good, they start a routine like the cable company "that's all we can do, you have to be there, etc etc" Then they say they will call me back. - No Call

4) After I call them, they said they would deliver it after 3 p.m. and they would call before they left the lot. I get a call at 2:30 p.m. from the driver saying he's at my house and I needed to come.

5) The delivery guy was sub-contracted so even though I was upset, I really couldn't be upset with him. And honestly he had been the nicest guy I dealt with in the whole ordeal. BUT, it's all finished and boom, they forgot to give the driver the key to the building. After the driver calls to tell them, they ask the driver if I minded driving out to Morgan myself to pick up the key.

RIDICULOUS!

I went read reviews today and apparently Morgan has a history of terrible customer service.

I have a Morgan Barn that I bought new.
None of the complaints that you had and I love it.

Maybe you could change your thread title to Do not buy a Morgan building from -----

I would have bought from any other place, even if I had to drive 100 miles.

I went to the Morgan place on Airline and the sales rep was less than impressive.

I went a little further south and bought a wooden Graceland building. It is badass. Their financing plan is some type of BS for people with terrible credit. I had already decided to buy the building, but was planning to finance it. When I read through that crap I ended up just paying it off. I would highly recommend them to anyone who can pay for it up front.

Where you put it, that corner of the yard where the old boat used to be?

That's where I differ from most folks. If the guy is a jerk I'll buy from some one else regardless of price then drive by and show or send his boss a picture of the item I bought elsewhere because of his stupidity. Especially stupid car salesmen that won't negotiate until they run a credit check.

I bought one last year from the place on Airline in BR and could not have asked for a better experience. None of the issues that you described happened....it was as smooth of a process as you could ask for.
