1/6 of the top players instate. Unacceptable. I think 3/6 should be the minimum acceptable. After 13-1, regardless of outcome, we should be able to woo instate kids. I am happy with our current recruits, just disappointed in coaches. Least favorite signing day for me to date.

you just have to look at where the needs are. Also for the player they may not be able to play anytime soon at LSU and can step right in at say Texas and play.

Coaches aren't to blame when they are lied to. Negativity just as much to blame. I don't care about the ones that didn't sign. I only care about the ones that did. Negativity will only lead to more of the same.

You've seen LSU's in-house rankings?

You know where the coaches ranked players?

I bet you feel the same way people in the states that we stole recruits from feel.

2012 Class is going to be a great one.

The kids in question chose Texas and Alabama. Both have plenty of talent, so I'm not sure if competition and playing time are good excuses.

I think he is going with the Rivals rankings, which include a guy the staff never offered (Peters) and a guy who has every single red flag in the world (Bourque).

Still, it is an extremely disappointing class, especially when you factor in the mood of a few 2013 guys. I really couldn't care less about Rickey Jefferson though.

I agree. But prepared to be bashed over the f'in head for saying anything that contains a negative tone. Sunshine pumpin', contolling speech-Nazis are about to come out.

I'm disappointed in the recruiting this year as well. I think Les Miles needs to do a better job next year. Make some changes. But Miles doesnt like to make tough changes until he is forced to- from my persepctive.

LSU is stacked! With the returning players we have, not many can be promised they will arrive and start. They can at Bama, Texas, FSU. Bama lost 14 starters, Texas and FSU sucked and has no depth. Signing Kwon, weeded out TDavis...TDavis didnt want to compete...nor did Kiel...Go look at some 90's classes and you will throw up!

firstly, I am not disappointed in the players that signed. We just picked up a lot of really good kids.

OK, we lost TD and LC. Obviously they never did bleed purple and gold. You'll get instate kids who will come to LSU whether or not they'll have an uphill battle at their position.

I agreed maybe TD didn't love LSU enough to want to compete for a position, and Texas told him what he wanted to hear.

Add that in to the rumor that Texas hired one of his ex coaches and there your go....

+1,000,000 I have been saying this all damn day. If you think otherwise you are a bit delusional about the depth at LSU. LSU has tremendous depth, but Texas and Alabama are not short on talent. Texas has blown b/c their coaching is in chaos. They have great athletes (on paper).

our state isn't big enough to let 5 of the top 6 go. the last time i saw shite like that fla. state, a@m, nebraska and others were kicking our arse and we were struggling to win games.

Before reading your post I'm going to take a guess that it has something to do with:

1/6 of the top players instate. Unacceptable. I think 3/6 should be the minimum acceptable. After 13-1, regardless of outcome, we should be able to woo instate kids. I am happy with our current recruits, just disappointed in coaches. Least favorite signing day for me to date.

Hey Chicken Little for a little perspective look at the 247Sports player ratings for Louisiana. LSU signed 8 of the top 12. That doesn't sound like the sky is falling to me!
