when he died? im not talking about the scandel . he was a great coach and man . i was wondering who LSU's coach would have people line the streets to watch their hearse go by.

are you talking football specifically? I'd go with Skip. I don't see us mourning anyone else as much as him.

Cholly Mac and if LSU would have been an independent like Penn St was for so long he could've tailored made some schedules to make some undefeated runs while avoiding Bama and the Bear every year.

Baseball doesn't have as nearly as broad an appeal as football. In 2012, LSU football transcends all ages, races and both sexes. Even Southern fans followed LSU football last year.

we're not talking about how its viewed outside of LSU. we're talking about the kind of figure that LSU fans would idolize as much as Penn St. fans idolize Paterno. Understand?
