Maybe not, but I don't see the problem with having a central antagonist throughout the story as long as it doesn't get redundant and stupid, like Sylar in Heroes did.
First off, this is a thread on anime. Pretty much all of those shows you listed either aren't anime or don't involve actual storylines.

Second, the difference lies in the fact that Inuyasha has small villains, but one main villain that they fight the entire 167 episodes. They beat him and he comes back, again and again. It is repetitive as hell.

Third, WTF was with that list? Game of Thrones? That show has been on only 1 season and consists of only 1 book. There are 5 of them.

Batman? Superman? Who was the main villain that was behind everything?

Spongebob? Rocky and Bullwinkle? WTF?

I have no idea what you are smoking, but I want some.

My initial post was a "boil down to" villain, not a villain that is in charge of all the others. So that's not what I thought you meant by it.

Just finished Samurai Champloo. Pretty good stuff. Of the two i've seen i'd rank Trigun #1 and Champloo #2. I really really liked Trigun. Was going to start Cowboy Bebop next but my idiot friend spoiled the ending for me. Started the anime version of The Count of Monte Cristo last night but I dont know if i'll keep going on it. Might give it one or two more episodes.

Mr. Burns
Cigarette Smoking Man
Cersei (she's the true root cause of almost all the conflict, aside from Daenerys plotline)
Sylar

I kinda see what you are saying with some of those.
Burns was a protagonist in some episodes, some episodes he never shows up.

CSM seemed like he was for the ongoing story arc, but later IIRC he was one of many dark shadowy gov't characters that were behind the scenes. Didn't he also die a couple seasons before the end?

Cersei - White Walkers anyone?

Sylar was only villain in the first season. Second season was that Adam guy, and I didn't watch past that.

Yea, saw all of that show too.

Ah....but did you see DBZ Abridged? It's all on YouTube under the account TeamFourStar.

Guru: Ah, so the son of Katash has passed...how unfortunate.
Krillin: Actually, we called him Kami.
Guru: Oh, so the pretentious prick calls himself God. Hmph. NAIL! From now on, I shall be called Super Kami!
Nail: Yes, Super Kami.
Guru: No wait! Super Kami Guru.
Nail: Can I just call you Guru for short?
Guru: Super Kami Guru allows this.

He came back though... and pretty much did the exact thing they were trying to stop in the first season, and then did nothing.

I've seen this recommended somewhere else since I like Berserk so much. Tried watching the first episode on netflix, but I just can't stand watching anime not in Japanese. Most of the voice acting is pretty dumb to me. I might give it another try though.

The worst offenders were Funimation fricking up DBZ so much. The voice acting was awful and they completely changed the music to some half assed heavy metal crap.

I was searching Amazon earlier, and I noticed they have an anime based on the TV show Supernatural. Has anyone seen it yet?

I really like the show and an anime with the same premise could be really cool. I also read that it is the same actors doing the voices.

G Gundam

G Gundam starts out very good but then it gets way to weird later in the series where I think it ruins the show.

Seen the episodes, been following the manga nearly a decade. The waiting is always so infuriating, but the artwork is literally the best there has ever been.

It wont be till probably march till we even get to see a cam rip, and even longer then till we get subs on the new film.

I feel the same way. There is so much detail in what Miura draws. Life got in the way about 3 years ago at the end of the Ganishka stuff, but I'm trying to get caught up right now.

As far as the movie goes, what do you think about what you've seen? I don't think it starts with the Black Swordsman arc so that kinda sucks, but I think it looks really good and I think Miura said he was pleased with what he saw.

As soon as I see anything available to download online, I'm getting it. With or without subs. If you see anything let me know.

The background and structures look great, not so much the foreground/characters I feel. I forget the name of the arc, but it's when Guts is a mercenary and isn't yet under the band of the hawk, but meets up with Caska and Griffin for the first time.
