LSU filled the needs they needed to fill this year
10+ linebackers when it is all said and done and every one of them can play

we locked down top in state receivers and signed a few out of state prospects

there is no weakness in this class, a bunch of underrated and hungry guys who will bleed purple and gold for at least three years

how can anyone call this class a failure bc we didnt sign some prima dona in keil, edwards or collins

False, No QB yet... We losing 2 qb's this year. We have to at least have 1 in this class.

Your words are appreciated.

But your spelling is found wanting.

"Prima Dona" is what you meant.

We could use a safety as well

we do need a qb and my feelings are that we will get liggins

we have no idea how this coaching staff intends to use players but we do know that they can convert one of the athletic db's into a safety easily

Wrong this class lacks a servicable Quarterback, a defensive end/tackle tweener, a center, and a safety.

Plus if you really want to get down to it a WR that can stretch the field vertically who has some height. All we have a slot guys between 5'10" ans 6'1" that actually will play.

Yes we are right LB will be great since we have tried to set a recruiting record for the most signed in one class but there are some positions that are certainly lacking over the past two years.

To be honest, I think the team can get by without a big receiver as long as we have a QB that can actually get the ball to them. A big target is nice when you have an inaccurate QB, but even then that doesn't always help. I think OBJ and Landry can both stretch the field.

jeryl brazil is burner for next year.. 4.2 speed

speed isn't as important as precise route running and hands are..

ala xavier carter vs early doucet

if these guys get open, they will catch a lot of balls from mett ...

Agree ... just think in terms of Josh Reed. He wasn't a burner and he certainly wasn't big, but he had a knack for getting open and Rohan was able to get the ball to him (often).

Sunshine pumping is cool to look at things from another view....but in reality it does nothing for actual results. We did not feel all of our needs in which some posters pointed out. 10+ linebackers cannot play WR, QB, or any other position we needed to feel. In reality we missed on targets and we missed a lot this year...face it this year is average in the world of LSU recruiting....

But I appreciate your sunny outlook!

dude we are friggin stacked at both of those positions....we dont need either....when la'el collins' only shot at seeing the field is at guard you know you are fine on tackle depth. Same at end we have 4 star high rated guys like jordan allen and justin maclin who arent looking at significant playing time coming up.

It would have been nice to get a huge 5 star qb but With mett rivers and randall all we need is a guy who can provide depth which I think Liggins will fill that roll.

Center and Safety are two needs though.

This class will end up being ok not every class has to be like last years or the year before. Sometimes you need a class that is full of guys who can provide solid depth and fill their role. However you dont want two classes like this back to back.

This class also lacks star power. A player who is a flat out freak and can be the next big time player.

How our O-line looking? That's the only immediate need I see (except QB).

We only filled one need, LBer.

Two glaring needs S and QB were not recruited. That's no way to recruit.

Staff has work to do next year.

Quite good especially if we could have held onto Miller.

Not all blue chips but tons of potential.

Mix this class with the last class, LSU's future is very bright.
