Bank of America - Round up checking

so what's the catch?
No way if I buy something that's $1.05 are they going to round up and dump $0.95 into a checking account? They would go broke (well some would argue they already are).
I don't see any fees or anything else associated with the account, debit card etc?

Thought it said there was a $250 limit on their match though, not on overall?
Even so, $250 is this per month, lifetime etc?

Are you sure? I thought it was a one time deal when you signed up for a new checking account.

I'm pretty sure in that scenario they charge your checking account $2 and just send the .95 to your savings account. They aren't giving you any money.

I did this. For the first year they match 100% of the difference up to $250. After that they match a paltry 5% of the difference. The first year is free money. Always fill your gas tank up to $XX.01. After that use your CC because the rewards will be much much better.

I just checked the website and it said they will match you for the first 3 months and it pays out at the year anniversary of your enrollment. I wish I had known that when I signed up, I just use my CC for everything and pay it off at the end of the month.
ETA: I've got $7.48 coming my way in July

That makes more sense, I remember when I signed up using my debit card for gas and always filling up for like $5.01. I got my full $250 then back to AMEX.
