Is LSU on the path of the Buckeyes?

2006...a perfect season. 12-0. The only close game, nail biter against a conference rival, a national perennial powerhouse. You finally get to the game after the long layoff, spent from the season...and you play the worst game of your life. You get beaten handily, leaving no doubt who was the better team on the field that night. Yet, after a few weeks, you and your fan base have hope. As embarrassing as that game was, you regain a glimmer of your former self. You recruit well, and your team is an early preseason favorite to play for the BCSNC next year! Rejoice! Everything will be fine. Soon the memory of Jan 9th will be a long forgotten fable.
The following year, you roll through your padded schedule with OOC games against the likes of hapless Washington. You navigate your way into the national championship yet again, this time against a team, who the year before has reason to believe by the end of the season, they might have been the best team in the country.
It definitely not apples to apples, but its certainly not a completely unfamiliar scenario.

I just don't see a team outside of the SEC beating the SEC Champ in the title game.

Might as well, we got a big ten coach behind us. Am I doing it right?

I hope so, Ohio State is one of the 4 or 5 best programs in college football history.

Not reading that, but according to the title of the thread, you are an idiot.

I think we had a liability at the QB position. And it finally caught up to us.
For years, Crowton was a liability - he was removed and the team offense improved dramatically.
Now we have a solid QB. The 2012 team will be complete and will win a National Championship.

At least we have the staff to tell the NCAA when something is amiss.

Instead of sweeping it under the rug like Tressel or Petey did. And look at what happened.
We are hardly on that path.

No, we are more like LSU...

Crowton was not a liability. He did a great job his first year. The next year we scored slot of points but the Malvato defense and pick sixes killed us. Then comes JJ and Les miles offense. This terrible offense with JJ is on Miles. Either Kragthorp is terrible or JJ is uncoachable. I thought Krags did a good job with JL. It's been a few years since a QB did anything against Sabans defense

Is it creeping Big Ten-itis?

You left out a few details about the Buckeyes. Like how they lost their Heisman caliber QB and potential Hall of Fame caliber coach.
Like you said, not apples to apples.
LSU is going back to the 'ship.
