He's going to start at guard

He'll play, I'm sure. He just ran into some really good depth as a freshman..2 years ago he would have played a lot.

Miles water yet another red shirt on a couple of series at ole miss. Miles pisses me off so much sometimes by wasting kids' redshirt seasons. What an idiot

I hope so; his freshman year was wasted. It is obvious that our OL did a decent job, but we need better players to come on.

If he is good, it won't matter that year was wasted
What is the difference between him leaving his junior year or his redshirt sophomore year?

You're a idiot. A talent like Collins isn't going to last past 3-4 years anyway.
Brockers is leaving as a RS Sophomore...

do you really think Lael Collins is gonna stay long enough for a redshirt to matter? He'll play next year and his JR year then leave for the draft unless he has some type of set back.

only idiot in this thread is you, broski.
TOP TALENT KIDS HAVE NO INTEREST IN REDSHIRTING. they want playing time, bottom line. if miles was to redshirt all the freshman he didnt absolutely NEED on the field, lsu would start losing recruits to other schools.

If Josh D is back, he'll likely be a backup at guard. If Josh doesn't get the extra year of eligibility he'll start. Pretty simple.
Your OL next year, will either be:
Faulk, Josh D, PJ, Williford, Hurst
or
Faulk, Collins, PJ, Williford, Hurst
Les isn't benching Josh D if he comes back.

Not sure. He's still 75% Auburn

Redshirts are important. Ask Michael Brockers

They'll have a good line and he will play a lot, probably at one of the gaurd positions. Even if he doesn't "start", he will see lots of playing time.

You are so right. He'll go pro by sophomore or at the latest junior year.

true sophs cant leave early. Lael will be a true soph not a redshirt soph. He has to stay till his JR year is over

I would rather see La'el get his shot than tolerate another year of Josh D. La'el had this year to get used to college life & learn the LSU system--now he should be ready to excell!

what's the deal w/ chris davenport? may as well just move him back to dline. seems like he'd see more snaps there. also how's evan washington doing?
