did florida's win over ohio st. in 06 help lsu in 07?

how much influence did florida's win over ohio st in the 06 championship game help lsu jump 5 teams to get into the n.c. game? do you think lsu makes it to the title game in 07 if ohio st. beats florida? remember all the talk was ohio st.- michigan rematch with the best 2 teams. & florida shut everybody up.

No it was because 5 teams ahead of them lost. If WVU doesn't choke vs Pitt they would have been in the NCG. Also remember that tOSU was #7 in the BCS standings 2 weeks before and 6 teams ahead of them lost. We had no business being there to begin with but got there by default.

LSU makes it no matter what in 2007. As much controversy as there was in 07, people fail to realize it was basically a no-brainer to put LSU in over anyone else.
Every negative LSU had in 2007 - the competition had those negatives but worse:
1. Virgina Tech had 2 losses and got destroyed by LSU: no brainer
2. Georgia has worse losses, and worse record, and didn't play in the SECCG, much less win it
3. USC's loss to 4-7 Stanford was awful, plus their computer ranking was so bad that it didn't matter where the voters put them
4. OU - ditto from USC. They lost to an awful TT team and had a bad computer score
5. Kansas beat no one worth a dime. They weren't close to passing LSU
