Last night at Conlin.
Crusaders are struggling this year, but took a lead midway through the second, and didn't relinquish it until 7.7 left in the game. Crusaders got the ball down to the front court, but Jordan Cornish's shot missed.

Nice atmosphere for a non-district game, much better performance this year vs. Riverside than last year at the New Orleans Arena, where the Rebels manhandled a better Crusader team than this year's edition.

Conlin Crazies did NOT bring it, last night. Might have made a difference, but the few there were non-existent. Drum line stepped up, though. Could have used the Conlin Crazies.

The difference was getting #3 Jabar Singleton back. It was his first time on the court this season.

And Riverside's best shooting guard (Dabney) out for the season.

Singleton did look uncomofrtable/not in rhythm, yet.

The intensity he brought esp on defense, is what we have been missing. I thought Jabar looked great for his first time on the floor all year.

Ricardo gathers was definately the reason for the win. He started to have his way on the inside.

ALMOST cost his team the game.
He likes to dribble the ball too much, when he's being pressed. He's GOT to have more discipline than that, though. Nearly every time he tried to bring the ball upcourt, we got a steal, or caused him difficulty.

Dude that size shoots free throws well, though. That will help him down the line.

Got a nice win at Holy Cross, last night. Good ball game, close until the fourth quarter when Brother Martin pulled away for the victory. Got the lead up to 12, but Holy Cross would not quit.
Final Brother Martin 51-42 Holy Cross.

Holy Cross Band was weak. Came in, played the fight song, Eye of the Tiger, National Anthem. Then nothing, until Hey Baby at half-time. Then Fight Song and Alma Mater at the end. Sat there like schlumps the rest of the game.

They have fantastic new facilities, though. Incredible building...Holy Cross Student Center, where the gym is.

I think they ran out of money for the scorer's table. BM was 10 of 25 from the line. Held NOLA Fab Five member Pichon to 5 points all in the last 2 minutes.

Crusaders were rough at the line, last night.
Didn't realize, I don't know much about basketball in New Orleans. We enjoy going to high school sports, and my son is at BM, so we go.

Going to district opener at Chalmette this Friday, hitting up Rocky and Carlo's first.

I'll be at the game of Friday. HC was 7 of 17 from the line. At one point both teams were 7 of 17. 17 for 42 from both teams. I didn't think we would ever score took up 5 1/2 minutes.
