damn. that will put bet-r out of business. should be between college and kenilworth. away from walmart/albertsons on college but not too close to the albertsons on essen...and still not too close to mathernes on highland... if rouses wanted my opinion. it reminded me of the love child of a whole foods and a mathernes.

They are building 2 new ones on the northshore in Mandeville at this time. It wouldn't surprise me if they also expanded to the BR market. Rouse's would be LA's HEB.

I lived in San Antone for a year and a half several years ago with a HEB across the street beside the local lunch hot spot/ strip club. HEB stands for "Here Everything's Better." I swore the HEB next door to that place was heaven for a young man with a pulse, parched mouth, throbbing hard-on, and empty belly.

The Rouse's in Mandeville along the East Approach rivals the place in San Antone, sans the naked waitresses next door.

Have you ever been to Whole Foods or Calandros?

yes. but the wine selection blew any of it's competitors out of the water. it was also the aesthetic of the wine section that was really cool too. the cheese section looked like whole foods.

The new Rouses in Lafayette was the biggest in the chain when it opened and it's about half the size of the HEB of Fry Rd in Katy and has half the milfs

If old man Rouse was still alive, they'd have stores all around BR just to piss off Jay Campbell and Associated Grocers.

Yes, I am hoping it will be higher-end AG store. I would think it would be with Santa Maria, CCLA, and other wealthy neighborhoods in that area.
