That sucks. But, no offense, you'll never get lower level tickets off the street.

I gave away my preseason tickets and ended up wanting to go to the game I bought two perfectly legit lower level off the tickets from someone. Now I didn't buy them from a "broker" which this guy may have done.

Sorry to hear about that.

But you should know better. Always got to make sure they're legit by having someone from the saints scan the barcode or something like that.

Again you should know better.

But then again fool me once, shame on you

Fool me twice, Shame on me.

Why didn't you go to the Saints ticket exchange? What people do, is put their tickets on the exchange, which voids the ticket once it's purchased, then go on the street and "sell" it a second time. NEVER buy on the street. Way too easy just to go to the exchange, those are guaranteed .

It's a big gamble due to the money for tickets. They're crazy. I wish there was some kind of protection buyers can get.

Did you buy them from a street urchin or from someone who looked like a fan? For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would sell to these urchins, they almost never pay even face value.

Ive done this in the past with no problems, i didnt know about the saint exchange deal and the fact that the exchange ticket with the bad bar code ends up on the street.

That sucks man. I've done that many times and havent ever ran into a problem. If it was a high demand game i could understand but for today's game where there were a lot of empty seats and people selling tickets, I'm surprised they were counterfeit.

I bet he figures you're a genius, eh? Ever hear of a ticket exchange? You were probably only worried about saving some money, when the safety and well-being of your son should have been your first
priority.

Very common. It sucks, but a lot of tickets won't scan. Some a-holes sell their tickets online and forward the barcodes and then sell the original tickets out front.

I sell my Club tickets via email, and use the tickets to enter the club (they put a hole in them and stamp your wrist) but have never used them to gain access to the dome itself.

It would be stupid as the tickets are tied to me.
If you go to the ticket office and complain they can look into if the original owner sold his tickets maliciously. He could lose his rights to tickets.

This is never ever ever ever going to happen. It's illegal to sale on Saints property.

You just have to gamble.

Did you buy them from a Mexican-looking scalper who inexplicably dumps on Drew Brees?

First off, it isn't illegal to sell on Saints property. I sold Superbowl Tickets right inside the Saints Facility after getting them from the window. Second, the Superdome isn't Saints property.

You sound like a very astute person, not sure how this could have happened.

Look, I have bought tickets like this off and on for years. These were not true counterfeit tickets; they were genuine tickets with invalid bar codes. Now that you can email/scan etickets, there should be some fail-safe against selling the hard tickets. I paid less than face value. If anyone can give me a source/ number to call, I will.
