Not me, but I have parents who are very well off and they invested in cocoa...yes, the chocolate cocoa..like stock in a company...this was in the 90's...they did not get any ROI. I don't know what they were thinking.

A sibling's business "opportunity", and, no, I did not think it was brilliant going in. Total loss.

ATNP, a penny stock who's CEO was convicted of pump and dump schemes. First real entry into investing, went with 13k up to 20k, down to 0 in about 3 months.

I hope that POS Chris Debeau rots in fricking hell.

On another note, I learned a lot.

I lost 50% on a Chinese stock that got hit with fraud charges. I'm still holding it.

I bought a lot of under armor and a little of netflix, both did quite well. Then I decided to sell all my UA and buy more Netflix. Lost 50%+ of the value.

I was gambling and it was a good lesson.

Bought a small stake in a local movie shot in NOLA. It was gawd-awful. $0.00000 ROI

Before Katrina, I paid 7K down on a lease purchase before I got the signature from a cousin.

It was in Mandeville and the property value was 'reappraised' during my lease.

The lesson,

Don't do business with family.

Rohan Davey rookie cards

Also Don Lapre's get rich quick program with the magic of "ad placement". I was a freshman in college and did actually learn a little through his exuberant manual (like a parody of itself).

Worldcom. I really didn't make the investment thinking it was good. They bought a company in which I owned stock.
