I don't agree with that at all. Another year and he might get Dorsey money....
If LSU wins, the spotlight will likely be on these guys even more than this year. Draft status can skyrocket because of that kind of stuff.

DEs are very valuable. If he can be the 3rd DE chosen, he would be dumb not to go.

If Mingo stays, our line can still run down Heisman running backs from behind. I love Montgomery and Brockers, and if both play their hearts out in the 'ship and bring home the trophy, I could only hope they end up being Saints!

Bad advice, even with the injury possibility hanging over his head. Guy could be a top ten overall if he continues this type of play another year which is an absolutely huge payday compared to leaving now.

Big difference between top 15-20 money and back half of 2nd round money. The difference can make up for 1 less year of getting paid.

the scouts know who these guys are, the combines and work outs will be more important.

I agree Brockers should return, but in response to the poster who said he needs to become a disruptive force, Brockers has been a disruptive force since the Oregon game.
Also agreed with others who said Montgomery won't play DE in a 4-3 in the NFL. Not unless he packs on another 20 pounds, at least. Right now, he projects best as a 3-4 OLB. He could ring up the sacks, but he'll have to adjust to having to cover at times. I think his straight-line speed is around 4.6, but I'm not sure what his shuttle time is. Lateral quickness and speed will be key for him at the next level, but given what I've seen of him this season, I have a feeling he'll adjust just fine.

Rs sophomores, 3 years removed from highschool is the rule.

No way in hell either go.....you don't turn first round money.......they stay one more year both are first Rounders.... this year 3rd rd...would be dumb

I heard on a draft show that Montgomery would be rated as the 1st DE in the draft if he went and would be top 10 (like Claibourne). I don't think there is a question that he leaves and he should.
