For those comparing JJ to Tebow

Every Game Counts
DID YOU KNOW: Tim Tebow set a BCS bowl record with 533 yards from scrimmage in the 2010 Allstate Sugar Bowl, throwing for 482 yards and rushing for 51 more.
Just thought that I would throw out a little reality check. The question is, how in the world did Tim Tebow do this when all the pros say that he can't throw the football?
So how can someone who barely averages 100 yards a game be compared to him? Just curious.

I think you could make the comparison that
JJ:College = Tebow:NFL
I hope no one is crazy enough to think that JJ is as good of a college player. They're probably comparing his college success to Tebow's NFL success.

They were talking about his throwing motion.

I tried to fight this like 6 or more weeks ago, and it still hasn't stopped. Can't imagine it will, I guess they will just be surprised when JJ doesn't do what Tebow did. Oh wait, he already hasn't....

a lot of his completions were on short slants that were taken to the house by FAST slotback and WR.

LSU doesn't air out the ball the way Florida did. But in style of play they are very similar. Both are big strong power running QB's. Both have fairly effective yet unconventional throwing styles. Both are considered leaders by their teammates.
Did you see the jump pass at the goal line JJ threw against Florida. Tebow couldn't have done it better himself.

Just shows you how overrated college defense's are, I say this all the time when people argue so and so threw for all these yards and had a 60% completion rate in college like they do for JR and I tell them any decent QB can do that in college, but let me see them do it in the NFL. so your answer is, yes, even Jordan Jefferson can do it, also. and Lord, I hope he is on Jan. 9th, please.

often in spite of him. how many fans/NFL players want tebow to be the QB of their team?
very very few.

I'm now dumber for reading this...

Well we have hope then. We have another QB who has yet to see the field whose brother is suppose to have terrible mechanics. I'll take bad mechanics if the passes are completed down the field. Here in lies the problem. There is a lot more going on here than just plain bad mechanics. A lot of it is football IQ.

The comparisons drawn between JJ and Tebow are as delusional as anything I have seen on this board.
Tebow was one of the most dominating college football players ever, and he directed an offense that was among the best in the country every year. When he left, UF went in the tank without him.
JJ has QBed a very talented team into a bottom ten offensive seasons twice, and has now authored an SEC first...a entire half of football without a 1st down.
The only comparisons that can be drawn between Tbow an JJ are 1) that their throwing mechanics are not great, and 2) their teams win games.
The evidence says that Tebow's team wins because he is the QB (he left UF and they began to lose, he took over in Denver and they started to win) while LSU wins whether JJ plays or not.

The comparison is between style of play, not level of play
ETA:
Throwing against Cincy isn't the same as throwing in the NFL. But that really has nothing to do with LSU
