Finally after a rough/busy fall filled with family health problems I was able to make it out to my cousins land.

57 degrees
No wind
Texas
.243 sako

Wish my grandpa could have made it through for one last hunt as he made every hunt for the last 10 years with me.

Im just glad they let him home on hospice care with us. Helluva man and taught me everything I know about hunting.

I already had a beautiful 2 year old 8 point come out behind me. East win blew me right into him and he took off. Only out here for does unfortunately.

Good luck. Heading out in a few for camp. Will be hunting with my 8 year old in the morning. His older brother (10) got his first buck last Saturday (spike).

That's always good to have somebody like that in your life.

I'm going next weekend, pretty excited.

From the looks of all the tracks up and down the pipeline, the deer have been having a field day since we haven't hunted in 2 weeks.
Hoping to ruin one of their's day.
