LSU. Points scored/Points allowed>>>>rest of the stats.

Stats don't mean shite. (for the most part)
Just like the SECCG, touchdowns are better than 1st downs.

The only stats that matter.

LSU: 38.5 points for - 10.5 points allowed
Bama: 36.0 points for - 8.8 points allowed
Averaged for points scored vs points allowed the score would be (rounded) LSU 24 - Bama 23.

LSU wins another close one.

Against common teams? That's all that matters.

Passing yards is obviously the only thing that stands out but i believe this is only b/c of the last few games since JJ became the starting qb!! Does anyone wonder if this could be something to worry about if JJ plays the whole game??? or does the option become the achilles heel for Alabama's Defense!?!?!?!?!

I'd prob take Bama. the point differential is essentially a wash, and they appear more balanced on offense and stingier on D.

Those stats are skewed... LSU played one more game which hurt them in the pass yds category

Would probably pick Bama with only those stats. Now, if you provided turnover margin, some special teams numbers, etc., I would go with LSU.

Don't be a moron. Lee passed the 200 yard mark in exactly one game this season. The reason we don't rank highly in passing stats is that we are not a passing team. We are a run first, ball control, smash mouth team.

And I would throw in Strength of Schedule. Then it's not even close.

The stats are skewed for another reason. Strength of opponent. If LSU played Bama's schedule our stats would be a lot better. If Bama played LSU's schedule their stats would be substantially worse.

How about adding a couple of fields to that chart?

W/L HoneyBadgers
LSU 13-0 1
Bama 12-1 0
