Dining in Natchitoches

Going up for the Christmas Lights next weekend and staying at a B&B. I have heard to check out Lasyones for their meat pies. Would like to go out to nice dinner one night (not necessarily super fancy, but not opposed to it).
Any suggestions on places to hit or to stay away from? Sorry if this has been asked recently, did a search and mainly got posts from 2009.

Yes
Pretty much the only other options are these:
Antoon's Riverfront Restaurant
The Landing
Mariners Restaurant

Lasyone's does have the best meat pies. But I'm biased because my wife's family has ties with them.
When we go up there, I really enjoy Mariner's out by the lake. The Landing on Front Street is good and Mama's and Papa's is a good place to drink and grab a bite.

Just as a little aside here, the Pioneer Pub makes a good burger too if we're talking bar food.
The thing I miss most about Natchitoches is Chef Wok though oh god

Mariners used to be the best by far imo. It has actually gone downhill a little bit over the last few years but I guess if I had to choose I would say it is still the best.
Also, there is a Hibachi/Sushi place in Natchitoches called Hana that is supposed to be decent but I have not been there.

The Landing is good.
Catch a few drinks at the pioneer pub. Tell the hot bartenders Ham said hello.

You can get a decent meal at The Landing or Mariner's. I've never been to Antoon's. Definitely go to Lasyone's for lunch and bring an ice chest to take some frozen uncooked pies home.

Mariner's is probably the best. I also enjoyed going to the Pioneer Pub to get a few beers and a burger.

Yes on Antoons and Pioneer Pub for bar food. There is also a place on the lake by Mariners but a little further down that is GREAT for lunch if you like fried chicken or catfish or meatloaf I mean really rib sticking stuff. GOTTA go to Clarence and get bbq at Graysons especially the chopped.Man it has ham and beef and pork and is wonderful.

Antoon's usually has a little more than bar food. I'm not sure if they still do it, but on Friday nights some special chef used to come in and cook meals that were pretty killer.

It's called Almost Home and it is killer

This is legit as well
There is also a little place about 15 or so miles outside of Natchitoches called Sea & Sirloin. By no means a real fancy place but good fried food and a pretty decent steak.

just fyi, everyone in Natchitoches I have been to sells the same commercial meatpies now made in Coushatta except for Laysones. Used to be a lot of ladies made them and tamales as well but that generation is gone now it seems. Also was a guy Russell Sisson in Cypress that mad both and were good too but I don't know if he is still selling from his home, 318-379-0501. If you get hime let me know and I may make a run for food there AND to Graysons.

Sea & Sirloin
Great place to go if you don't mind the drive. It's north of Campti on Black Lake.
Grayson's is very good too. Very rustic and definitely nothing fancy, but the bbq is the best for miles.
Another good place is the Cane River Bar & Grill. It's on the south end of Washington St. and right on Cane River.
