I wouldn't say a double overtime loss is a blowout, but to each his own.

When did losing in 2 overtimes become getting blown out?

The cold in "Minnesnowta" must be impairing your brain function.

No but you can lose the game of the century at home, when you had 2 weeks to prepare. You knew what was at stake as you were the #2 team playing the #1

They lost in double overtime.

No to mention that was only 1 of 12 games they played. And the other 11 were arguably superior to Bama's.

That said, neither OSU or Bama has a real argument. Had EITHER been left out, it was really their own fault with both losing a game. There really is no need for a BCSCG. LSU should be handed the title now.

OOOORRRRRRRR, you shouldn't expect to get into the BCSNCG, when FIVE of the voting coaches inexplicably vote your team #4 or #5, nor
when many of the human poll voters vote you #6 -
SIXTH, behind Houston and Arkansas ?????????

If the above idiots vote Okla State #3 - just # Three, then OSU is in the title game.

Okie State got JOBBED by people who didn't even watch the games !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so 6 points is a blowout now? You can't exactly get blown out in OT either.

I have been saying the following for years: Of all the deficiencies of the BCS system the fact that coaches who only watch the teams they are playing "this week" are allowed to have ANY input in the process is the worst.
A system to decide the ranking of college football teams should not include people voting that have a stake in the outcome. This just stinks.

That's my position on the OSU complaint as well. They say they deserve the chance to play in the BCSCG but they refuse to acknowledge they were given that chance but failed to capitalize on it.

There was no way for Bama to jump OSU other than OSU losing and they did. They had their chance to control their destiny and they gave it away.

And it's not just that they don't watch the games, but they also can, and do, vote for their own team's interests. Saban voting OSU #4 is a prime example. In '95, Fulmer voter Florida lower so Tennessee would finish #2 in the coaches' poll ahead of them.

The point is they only lost once, just like Bama, and their overall season accomplishments were arguably better. The unfairness lies in the fact that OSU was held to a higher standard and was required not only to outperform Bama, but outperform them by a lot, in order to finish ahead of them, while Bama could at best perform equally, and arguably underperform, compared to OSU and still finish ahead of them. And this is solely due to voter bias, some of whom, including Alabama's own freaking coach, obviously voted with a clear agenda to put Alabama in the NC game.

Que?

OU was blown out by KSU in 2003

USC lost to an unranked team in 2003

LSU lost at home to a Florida team that was lowly ranked

It was an upset loss. And that doesn't mean much IMO unless you think the Saints losing to the Rams means they aren't good enough to compete with the best teams in teh NFL
