Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this whole thing reminds me of the '97 baseball season, when we lost the regular season series to Bama 2-1, including a 28-2 drubbing, beat them in the SEC tourney but then lost the tournament championship game to them, then met in Omaha in the championship game and won 13-6.

Baseball is our sport. Football is theirs.

1997 Baseball Analogy
This is not an analogy. This is a very poor comparison of two different sports, whose championships were played 15 years apart. In summation... you fricking suck.

Reminds me of Georgia in 03. We beat them in regular season, and we beat em again in the SEC Championship.

if you're serious with that post, my guess is that you put a lot of importance on history, which, as with stocks, does not guarantee future performance. And you, my friend, must be looking at the 100+ year history to make the statement you did.

Looking at recent history, while still a poor indicator of future performance, would be a better predictive indicator for you, assuming you want to use "history" as a predictor.

And recent history has LSU beating Alabama the last 7 out of 9 games, or 10 out of the last 15.

I didn't read the other responses, so I don't know if this had been posted but....

LSU beat Bama in every single game that mattered in 1997 (baseball). LSU went to Bama on the last weekend of the regular season, and only needed to win one game to win the SEC. Bama won the first two, even 28-2 on Saturday. When LSU had to focus and win, they won on Sunday. In the SEC tourny, they played in the winner's bracket final, LSU's only focus was to not have to play 2 extra games if they lost. LSU won. The SEC had a 1 game winner take all final that quite frankly, LSU didn't care about, they never cared about the SEC tourny under Skip (Mainieri plays this tourny much differently).

So then we get to the CWS final, 13-6 LSU.

Exactly. Except you forgot to add the part that even though we beat them the first time they were still the "better team" because they outgained us yardage wise and committed so many turnovers.

Then we skull F$%^ed them in the SEC championship game.

I would like to think history will repaeat itself.

That's "Bravo Sierra"...

Since 2000, We have won nine of the twelve games....

That's a .750 winning percentage!

Lil' Snicky has won only two of the five meetings w/LSU and has lost the last three (and soon it will be four of the six meetings)!
