he never mentioned that each conference would have to play a conf champ game which would have to happen in his proposal

So after going 13-0, winning the toughest conference in football, beating the PAC 12 champion, Big East Champion, beating 3 top 5 teams, we would then need to prove ourselves all over again by winning 2 more games in a tournament. No thanks.

not bad, not sure I like the bye though, this would only be an advantage, IMO, is if the first games were immediately following the season

No way teams a play a 12 or 13-game regular season if playoffs are instituted. That would be ridiculous.

1 and 2 were determined with an opinion.
you need a 16 team playoff. all 12 conferences have an automatic bid with a conf. champ. 4 at large bids being the highest ranking in the bcs minuse the conference champs.
that way every game counts.

With realignment...Have all Conferences play a championship game. Take all the conference champions and put them in a playoff. If you still want to rank them...Top 2 teams get a bye.

8 team playoff sounds better, everyone will bitch who gets a bye and how it should be settle who gets a bye. If you go undefeted in the PAC 10 pussies and dont have a legit out of conference schedule do u get a first round bye?
