I think he reads TD. I coulda sworn I'd put that on the MSB a yr or 2 ago. at least the 6 team/ top 2 bye part. I didn't factor in the conf champ part.

I always thought the hang up would be bickering over the top 2 getting a bye.

College higher ups wouldn't go for that ....too much $ possible ....1 or 2 teams could make money from 3 major bowls

oh, did he propose home games? in my scenario, the games are played at the current BCS sites + Jerry World. 5 games, the 5 big venues. rotate the Final Four/ Championship. everybody's happy.

are there 6 teams right now with a legit argument of being the best team?

This year I think there only one. You cant change the system based on how many have legit chance. Of course, for a while Wisconsin was considered a legit contender which may be no. 5 now.

No. 3 that didn't get the bye or the team that missed being in top-6 will will whine. It's no different from current whining.

I loved that idea. Love the bye for top two.

I liked it also. Had never really heard of that before last night but it is the best proposal I have heard yet. The bye rewards the two top teams and the then anyone else who has a good arguement to get in gets in. I also liked that a committee would select the teams instead of polls and computers.

well you have to get in a # that takes this into account and lets in the fewest number of teams without an argument

4 seems to be the number that would work in almost every year (including this one). i don't see why we need more than 4

oh yeah a secret committee without any sort of repercussions for bad choices is so much better

Better than what we have now, and anything the BCS has had, and frankly will ever be able to come up with.

Works for me. I like that, the plus one or even 8. I think any higher than 8 is too much.

it's stupid because there are ppl picking the playoff teams... so what's different?

it's worse. i assume this committee would be like the CBB committee, which would be much worse. more secrets and backroom deals

The difference is 6 teams instead of two. much rather the debate be about who 5,6,7 and 8 are than 1,2,3 and they can play it out from there and finally take the "M" off and just have an NC.

illogical. they're all the same argument

not true. this will only happen if you allow all 11 conference champs in the system
