I like his idea. I prefer a 4 team playoff but would prefer 6 over the current system.

why wouldn't you award every conf. champ with an auto bid? doesn't seem fair.

we already have 2 weeks reserved, essentially, for the BCS bowls. with 4 teams you just need 2 weeks

if you do 6/8, you just need another week. the bowl season is like 4 weeks long. they can reschedule their shite bowls and eliminate about 10 of them

there are like 3 or 4 legit conferences

it wouldn't be fair to them to have to play extra games against the shite arse sun belt, MAC, or CUSA

it's just 1 more week compared to a 6 team playoff, so it's not that much of a big deal

and it's technically the only way that the title will ever be recognized by the NCAA

today maybe. but, do you think in 15 years, those same conferences will still be the only legit ones? if so, then you might as well combine all conferences into 4.

today maybe

pretty much always

and if a conference isn't traditionally legit, they can still get teams in. like the big east with WV in 2007

yes

SEC, Big10, Pac12, Big12

ACC may make a move, but with their academics, i doubt it

no you don't

you could probably do this by letting the rose bowl be gay on its own and using the fiesta/orange/sugar in a rotation

6 teams? almost assuredly too many

SFP, in the proposal, top two teams get a bye. That will give a lot of credence to regular season scheduling etc. If you don't finish in the top two you need to win three games.

Sure logistics is going to be a pain. So expect BCS to be renewed with minor tweaks or a +1 (may be).

I liked it.

A selection committee.

Top 2 Conference Champions get 1st Round Bye.

3 vs 6
4 vs 5

It would take 5 games to accomplish this and guess what, we're currently playing 5 BCS games.

Keep the rest of the bowls in tact.

don't care

are there 6 teams right now with a legit argument of being the best team?
