Searched and didn't find any previous discussions on this. Has anybody shot the Winchester Blind Side ammo this season? I prefer 3" 1 3/8 oz #2 shot, and this seems like a way I can shoot this load with a higher speed than the usual Drylok I shoot. Looking for any reviews as I'm about to pick a couple of cases up for the second split.

My buddy shot them a couple of weekends ago. He loved them. They seemed to have very good range on them.

I shoot Drylok #2 1 3/8 oz exclusively since it gives the best pattern through any of the guns I shoot. I can routinely get good results, but if these shells are as good as advertised increasing FPS from 1300 to 1400 FPS for only $15 more a case it seems like a no brainer. I haven't ever liked the 1 1/4 or 1 1/8 oz Xperts.

just like black cloud - they don't mix well with full chokes.

You need a black cloud choke if you want to shoot an extended full. Normal extended chokes throw the wad too early, which is the exact opposite of what the shells are designed to do.

I got some from a rep 2 seasons ago pre-launch

Good shells...... Not sure if they r any better than clouds...

And of course, ammo IMO really depends on where /how u hunt

Sure. That's why I used to shoot #1 only before they got impossible to find while hunting rice fields and open areas. #2 in 1 3/8 oz. is about as good as it has gotten for me hunting in the open. When we are in the timber it doesn't matter that much since 15-20 yard shots are kill shots with even the cheap shells. After doing some research there is more to these blind side shells than simply "juicing" up the standard Drylok, so I might be inclined to stick with what works. Have a box headed to me so I'll pattern a few and use a handful in the field and see what happens.

Test one box in the 1st split, noticed no difference that I could figure. We've been shooting an awful lot so not sure if I can justify buying this stuff by the case over some cheaper Feds or Winchester Xpert, Kent Fasteel, etc. Have one more box to try in 2nd split, we'll see. There have been some decent deals on them, however, online. Watch for after season sales too
