Happy Dave Wannstedt Day

4 years ago today, December 1, 2007, The Stache and his 28.5 point underdog Pitt team took down 2nd ranked WVU to vault LSU into the national championship. I will never forget the excitement of seeing Dave Wannstedt hobbling around on his crutches and celebrating the 13-9 win in Morgantown... So I say THANK YOU DAVE WANNSTEDT! PART OF THAT CRYSTAL BALL BELONGS TO YOU!

Still remember sitting in that Hooters in downtown Atlanta. Best night of my life.

We had just gotten back to the room at the Hyatt Atlanta when my buddy said, "you better come look at this...it looks like Pitt's ahead of WVU." Unbelievable night that only got better.

I remember watching that game and the refs were clearly pulling for WVU. Thankfully, WVU choked it away anyway.
BTW, how ridiculous is it to think that as bad as the Big East is now, one of their teams almost made the NC game 4 years ago?

I was backstage at a Chicago concert drinking my sorrows away, when I received a text - Pitt Won.....
I thought I was seeing crap and discredited it until my phone started blowing up.
