which one do you suggest for someone who drinks the same coffee all the time (community). she also is the only coffee drinker in the house.

would a 1 cup be better than a normal one? she usually has 1-3 cups in the mornings.

those look neat. i see it says you pour hot water on top of the beans. how does it heat if there is no cord to plug in? and do you have to use beans?

Not whole beans, use coarse ground, I believe. Full of flavor, but stronger.

You need a one to maybe four cup French press. A stove/microwave for hot water, and three minutes of brew time.

But you have to heat the water. They make the best coffe but just aren't very convenient. Get a 4 cup drip machine. If all she drinks is Comunity it will serve her needs fine.

Bunn MyCafe'. I buy the pods at Kroger. They come in Dark and medium Community. Love it and the coffee. Faster than The Keurig I used before it.

I have a Keurig and it's ridiculously convenient, but I miss Community. And I miss being able to make my coffee as strong as I like. I might be returning it.

It's cool but I don't really need a cup of coffee in 17 seconds.

I make my coffee in a French press every day. Taste is great, but convenience is not. Grind the beans, microwave water for six minutes, steep beans for four more. Cleaning out the pot is also not fun.
Koerigs are super convenient and fast. Basic models only make one cup at a time and the cups are more expensive than buying beans.

French press is great and convenient if you have one of these:

Chef's Choice 675 International Cordless Electric Hot Pot

Boils water in about a minute.

I use this to heat my water...

And this costs about $5, and fits over your coffee mug...

My wife swears by her Farberware perculator. We have three, a four cup, an eight cup, and a twelve cup. She swears the coffee is hotter and better than any other coffee making method.

They make them much more cheaply than they used to, but they are inexpensive.

FTW! I miss my old perculator, and yes, I think it made the coffee taste better than anything Mr Coffee or Keurig manufactures. I love the convenience of Keurig, but have yet to find a flavor that fully satisfies me. The Folger's gourmet is my usual go-to (not the black silk), but it's still lacking. Won't buy another Mr Coffee or drip coffee pot. Didn't even know they made perculators anymore.

Tried it and could not stand it. The grounds need to be finer than what you can buy and grinding my own defeated the purpose of the machine.
