There should be a clause for the SEC Championship...

That if two teams in either division are both ranked higher than the top team in the other division that those two teams should play for the SEC Championship.
I'm pretty confident that LSU will beat Ar-Kansas and Bama will beat Auburn. This would mean that LSU and Bama are still #1 and #2.
At this point they would be the best two teams in the nation, SEC, and SEC west.
This clause would allow for LSU to play Bama in the SEC championship.
Win or lose, LSU would probably still go to the National Title game.
If LSU wins they get an easier game for the National Championship.
If LSU were to lose, they would probably drop to #2 and Bama would go to #1 and they would meet each other again in the National Championship.

Pretty sure 2001 LSU would have never won the SEC championship or Sugar Bowl if that was the case.

Why should they play each other again? Like this year if they are #1 and 2 and LSU beat Bama; LSU is the SEC champ.

Don't worry it's not retroactive.
I see LSU winning these next two games. I see Bama winning their next game.
This would most likely put them in the National Championship.
I think a best 2 out of 3 format would be more fair.
What I really think is that college football needs to devise a playoff system that would still allow Papa John's, Gailord Hotels, Meinike, Outback, etc to get their cut.
