Heard lots of fans (different saint fan sites) saying the saints most likely will not be able to beat out SF for the #2 seed and secure a bye for the playoffs. What say you young college saints fans? This old son says the saints not only can do it but will do it. My best guess as it stands now will be ....... My best guess is that SF will hit the slide starting this week.
GB #1
NO #2
SF #3
Bears #4
NG #5
ATL #6

They would need to lose 3 more games and us win out. They would have the tie breaker

Don't think so.

We will be the #3 imo.

Why would San Fran suddenly hit the skids... with the exception of the Steelers (who haven't really looked that great lately) their schedule the rest of the way is total cake.

yep, they NEEDED to lose to NYG and those 2 AFC games. But, we still would have had to run the table.

If we get the #3 its a shame we would have to go to SF since I think them(SF) playing in Lambeau has the best chance of the NFC teams to win in Lambeau come late season playoff weather.

they have BY FAR the best chance to win there

5 of SanFran's final 7 games are against St. Louis, Arizona, and Seattle.

I'd put our chances around 5%

True, but Baltimore hasn't been very consistent this year. Consistency is why the Niners have only lost one game.

I know the chances are slim. But I mean we lost to St. Louis. If anyone can lose to them too it would be alex smith.

don't forget we have to go undefeated. we have a pretty damn favorable remaining 6 games but i expect us to drop at least 1 most likely going 12-4. so we would need the Niners to lose 4 of their last 7...highly unlikely

Just like those terrible losses to Arizona and Cleveland killed us last season, those bad losses to Tampa Bay and St. Louis are going to hurt this season.

que? We have the 4th toughest remaining schedule in the league...

Only thing favorable is our "toughest" games are at home.

I can't wrap my mind around the Niners being a 13-3 (or better) team.

They're going to lose one of those NFC West games. They have to.

I think we miss out on the #2 seed by one game and host a 1st round wild card match-up against a team we've already beaten.

Haven't even considered this, but you're absolutely right. I agree.

Who knows, maybe the Bears knock off GB in Lambeau...
