All that list tells me is that private schools pay to steal talented kids from other districts

Brother Martin
I would still take all the state championships Jesuit has had over the same period of time.

They also recruit and use playground systems and soccer clubs as a farm system for themselves. Its to the extent that LHSAA legislation has been introduced (at least in soccer) prohibiting a HS coach from having a certain % of players also on that coach's club team. This is a direct law against Coach Hubie. Its easily avoided though, he just doesnt put himself as the head coach of the club team now.

well these are the 4 most popular sports

it's easier to quantify a playoff appearence or not, and in a power rating bracket you get a truer picture of who has the best teams in the state

i guess i could go back and add cross country, golf, wrestling, tennis, swimming, gymnastics, track, and bowling later on

Sure they can. Jesuit has slightly more "resources" than the public schools though.

Most high schools don't play these sports.
If you're going for all of the one-off sports. You might as well add cheerleading, dancing, band, volleyball, LaX, darts, badminton, hopscotch, and whatever other sports the private schools decide to make up.

Owl

I know more about soccer than the other sports (Im talking about club and hs organization/rules/etc)... What public schools in the NOLA area do you think are fed by a particular soccer club?

hint: none

Thats why everyone sucks except for Jesuit (and BM gets the kids who dont want to go to Jesuit).

Ok, I'll rephrase so I don't look like I'm "smoking" something.

most schools have wrestling programs. i dont think gymnastics is even a lhsaa sport anymore. in your previous post you made it sound like only private schools have track, cross country, wrestling, and swimming. thats simply not true

Ben Franklin usually has a pretty good team, not on Jesuit or BM's level, but pretty damn consistent.
