I know it was not a turnover but do you think Ware putting the ball on the ground was the cause behind Blue getting some significant playing time? Like Ford earlier in the year do you think it affects his playing time in the next couple of games? I know Les usually goes with the hot hand anyway but I was just wandering.

I think it was just a matter of protecting the starters. Notice ODB fumbled and muffed a punt and didn't come out.

Saving Ware for the big games. Don't think he'll play much this week either

Didn't TM7 start returning punts after ODB's second fumble?

I think it's more of a lack of picking up yards. What is it with the rant and Ware? Doesn't he average under 4 yards a carry?

Looks to me like Ware is a little slow.

Like others have said, I think injury-prevention/freshness-preservation was a factor, but the coaching staff is also probably trying to develop Blue who gives us another option getting to the edge of good defenses (Ware's good between the tackles, but seems to struggle on sweeps, probably because of speed.)

Have you guys noticed that Les will let his players take some time off to get rested? Ware is a vital part of the offense, he is a powerful back that pokes holes in the defensive armour. Just when teams think that they have our RB's figured out, out trots (Ford, Blue, or Hilliard), who all have different styles and BAM, those backs look like stallions. Do not underestimate what Ware brings to the table.

And this is why I posted the comment. I am no where near as smart as most rantards. Once again some of you have shown your superiority.

I watched the game on TV and noticed that he took a bad shot to the left knee on his last carry.

WKU corner crashed in from the edge and went right at Ware's knee. Ware looked a little gimpy when going back to the huddle, then went to the sideline.

After Blue's long TD run, they showed him sitting next to Blue on the sideline smiling. I'm sure he is fine, but likely injury prevention.

ETA: etm512's link to the previous thread has 2 comments on this also.

Yeah but he didn't come out of the game completely.
