So I have been slowly converting some of my recipes to a word document as well as collecting many others online, mostly thanks to the food board.

But I realize I have no good way to organize them other than alphabetical.

Does anyone know a good recipe organizer/database that is easy to use ?

Something that well let you search for a recipe.

You could use a binder and have dividers to separate different food categories.

K, what you need is a program called Living Cookbook. I've been using it for 3 or 4 years. It makes it really easy to capture recipes from the web, word docs or almost any other source.

If you use Firefox, there's even an extension that lets you capture recipes in bulk from the most popular sites. Check it out for a free trial here: LINK

It has tons of features I will never use like inventory, calendar, menus, etc. Really, it could easily be used by pros.

ETA: You can also add pictures to the recipes, attach documents, like PDFs, word docs, even videos. Pretty good program.

I use Evernote to store all of my recipes. You can access them from your phone or just about any other device with internet access. And it's free.
