First sign of adversity (in a 33 point blowout) and you all get nervous again.

It was obvious that the team was flat emotionally and it is obvious as to why.

I think Les used the game to experiment a bit.

I think Lee played very well in his one real series. I think JJ played decently although he had more of a sample and did make mistakes.

I think Studthorpe and Miles will analyze the results of the experiment and use it later.

I think fans looking to make a bigger deal out of this scrimmage than it was need to CTFD.

I'm with you. We are 10 - 0 and there are fans who are still not happy.

I'm thinking that so many don't remember "the dark years". Not that I don't "HAVE A WANT" to be the best and make it all the way BUT there's NOTHING that I can do about it ...

I trust Les!!!

The most decent post ive read today....peeps should check out the OT thread about posting a gif about what everyone thinks aboit the rant after reading some of the dumb arse posts.
One game with mishaps in the 1st half and everyone is crying like a bunch of pansies. Fair-weather f*ckers need to find a new team because you don't deserve to be a Tiger fan

This is not a very well thought out post

What quality coach 'experiments' this late in the season

You won't see Saban starting Sims against GA. Southern next week

Did undefeated Houston expirment against Tulane yesterday? No they scored 73 on them

We just have to accept that there is a certain percentage of LSU fans who will never lose the catastrophe syndrome. They anticipate the worst. Pristiq works well.

Fixed it

Tell me how you get "very well" from 2 out of 4 for 15 yds and 1 team TD, but "decently" from 8 of 14 for 170 yds and 5 team TDs?

I'm not nervous at all. LSU is 10-0 for the 1st time since 58, been ranked BCS #1 for 5 weeks, and our QBs have accounted for 20 TDs with 3 ints.

Why would I be nervous?

Most coaches would play the starters, get a big lead and then empty the bench in the third quarter. Not Les. He experiment (at least on offense) all game. It wasn't til 1 min left that the bench was emptied and even then, no Mett.

I will put out my own speculation as to why, which is just that:speculation. I believe the coaching staff realized that they were VERY uncomfortable having JJ throw the ball v. Bama and they wanted to get him a significant number of reps throwing in a game to both shake off his rust and let them get comfortable with him as a passer. And, while they were at it, let's let Lee do some JJ plays to keep Nutt, Petrino and Richt honest.

+1. Rest Ware. JJ throws. Lee runs option, albeit once.

Vanilla defense till we realized WKU was going to make a game of it, then Brooks and Mathieu played "I'll meet you at the QB".

I only gave jj decent marks because he took two silly sacks, one in his own end zone. That's lack of awareness.

I said lee played very well because he had one real possession, drove the length of the field and scored a TD on a nice pass. One of his incompletions came when a RS Fr WR failed to look for the ball.

I don't want to make this thread about JJ and Lee, however.

What was everyone expecting? LSU to play their best possible football and blow WKU out using our BCSNCG playbook? These games are scheduled for a reason and Miles knows what to do with them.

Exactly. People shouldn't read anything into what happened against a Western Kentucky football team. Also, the game was Homecoming, and Jordan Jefferson has led the team the majority of the time he's been at LSU. He deserved to start the game, especially after saving the team against Alabama.

The two QB system worked in every game besides Alabama, and I think we can all agree that that game was an oddity, not the norm for LSU this season. If LSU wants win out, they will start Jarret Lee at QB for the remainder of the season with Jordan Jefferson coming in for 20-30 snaps a game (he's too good of a threat not to use him).

Les Miles knows this and won't allow any talk radio fodder to rattle his team's focus going forward. Yet if we continue to let this be a "controversy," I could very well see LSU losing to either Arkansas or Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

Why not?

People need to wake up and smell the coffee.

LSU QBs have accounted for like 20 TDs, 3 ints, and have a rating bout 160.

On the whole, the difference from last season is almost night to day.

Some of us are just so busy pissing and moaning bout our favorite that we don't seem to be able to see how very well the position is being manned/played this season when compared to last. imo
