You have these band wagon mongrels who go buy a t-shirt from tigermania and then try and out-tiger you and tell you how they are the BIGGEST fan ever. As soon as we lose a game, they disappear.

So what are the tell-tale signs that distinguish a seasoned LSU fan from these zombie morons just trying to get in on the new popular trend??

For me its people that repeatedly say "Honey badger takes what he wants."

I call bullshite, I've been a Tiger fan for nearly 30 years and I like the Honey Badger nickname so that theory is a fail

Anyone who thinks the gem "suck that Tiger d--k" is an exemplary piece of literature.

The band-wagoners in Houston have a longhorn logo on the back window of their car.

For me, it's people who worry about, and start topics on the Rant about, who is and who is NOT a bandwagon fan.

For me, it's people who say "we" when referring to the football team.

pretty obvious...and it's something I've noticed a lot when I talk to people. I was talking to someone about mo claiborne a couple weeks ago and the guy was looking at me like i was speaking chinese...i asked him what was wrong.."Mo claiborne?" "yeah, 17? the corner??" "OH YEAH! 17! He's the best in the country!" granted he's right but come on..even Verne Lundquist half way remembers peoples names...he even gets chase clement's name right!

-They only have Toonces gear (although I have a bunch, I must admit).

-They don't recognize names like: "Bernie Moore", Dietzel, McClendon or even Arnsparger.

-They argue that Saban is the greatest coach in LSU history.

People that generally don't know shite about football or the people who are on the team are usually women or band wagon fans

anyone who gives half a shite about the team they root for will learn some intricacies of the game so that they can better understand the game that their "favorite team ever bff omg" is playing.

My modest proposal is that the Alumni Association sell official alumni gear that you can't buy unless you show proof you attended the University for at least one semester.

Gotta admit it even though I despise saban. What he has done for lsu and now Alabama is just crazy. The dude knows how to build a program so I believe he was one of the greatest for sure

I was a high schooled in the 90s in north Louisiana. Every buddy I had as well as my football coaches gave me gruff about how terrible LSU was while they were rooting for teams like FloridaSt.

Now I see constant Facebook posts from virtually all of them about Geaux Tigers.

I know it shouldn't but it has made me angry ever since the first title.

You need to get over yourself about thinking someone else is a bandwagon fan. That's just stupid!!! You just keep doing your LSU thing and let others do their LSU thing. Or, we could post you at the door of all gift shops and let the customers pass your "sniff test" to make sure they are true Tiger fans.

People who claim that they picked LSU to win the National Championship before the season but still talk trash about them.

so real fans can't latch on to what is new? How is repeating new, relevant sayings being a bandwagon fan? kinda confused what you're saying here.
