For this game only what would you rather have?

Who would you rather for the year?

Ours. Backups in case Richardson goes down.

Trent is better than anything LSU has, he gives you that breakaway threat that LSU doesn't have and him being the bailout option for McCarron in the passing game can be a backbreaker

As far as power backs, give me Ware and Hilliard (but I don't see Hilliard being a factor in this one) and Ford is deceptive when he runs the play like it should be run.

Richardson by a mile. We'd literally be unstoppable with him on our team.

We can pound them with fresh backs all game long. TR is human and will get tired.

I would take Richardson over most NFL backs, for this one game.

Richardson is the best RB in college ball.

IMO, of course.

the deal as offered by the OP is tricky though. I would rather have LSU's entire stable of backs than any one guy, even O J Simpson or Walter Payton, because if injuries happen.

Another vote for LSU stable. Only takes one play for a RB to get hurt.

If it's just Richardson I would take LSU's stable of backs. However if Lacy is included with Richardson, I would have to take Richardson and Lacy.

Richardson.duh.

I will say this, ware has had three weeks to heal up. I am sure he is tired of hearing how much Trent is better then him and that he is not on his level.

Trent is also a product of a great oline. With lonergran healthy with a intact oline, I see our left side blowing their dline off the ball and stampley and ware having more success then people think

I'd rather have the flexibility of a stable of running backs and the security that all my eggs are not in one basket. Different running backs with different but complimentary styles gives you more options in play calling. It allows you to go with whoever has the hot hand in a particular game (or whoever matches up better against the defense). It forces the defense to prepare for more types of threats. This has been a trend in the NFL for 5 years or so because of all these reasons and also because there are only so many Adrian Petersons or Trent Richardsons to go around.

Bama has more than one back. Lacy and Fowler aren't garbage. Still waiting to see what Dee Hart has, too bad he got injured.

Lsu by a landslide ... Our backs are only getting started with huge potential to improve and only get better. Ware is already in same class as TR imo. Factor in Ford, blue, hillard, magee. We are loaded and they all produce. Very nice group of backs who are very talented and very young. Our future is bright.

I don't think TR has time to learn our system between now and Nov 5th
