Les Miles and nick saban's teams have met 4 times head to head.

One of those times, Les Miles team was the favorite and won a close game.

The other three times, little nicky's team was the favorite. One was a win by LSU. In the other two games, despite losing, LSU's play was as good or better than Alabama's despite having a lesser team. 08 went onto OT...and 09 turned on the spearing of JJ, bad interecption review and PP7s cramps where julio broke a play.

This game matches up two relatively equal teams. Bama is essentially the favorite based on home field advantage.

To me that says, equal team + better coach = LSU win.

This is historically a good and fairly even matchup. This year, Alabama looks as they typically do and IMO, no better than last year and maybe, not as good overall. LSU on the other hand is a vastly better team than last year's...offensively, defensively and special teams. Frankly, this is certainly the strongest, best balanced, LSU team thev've fielded in many years and perhaps, ever. LSU wins this one in double digits.

i think bama's defense is better than last years version. their offense is not quite as good, esp thru the air. i think this game is evenly matcher overall and may very well be determined by a big play or two or (horrors) a penalty at the wrong time.

Where are people getting this double digit win from? This bama defense is one of the best I have ever seen and allows less then 7 points a game.

We may very well win, but double digits? Put down the crack pipe!

Yes, that's it. We will win by double digits. I've predicted a 21 point win, and I believe it. Special teams? Us. Offensive balance...a nudge to us. Depth...us...on both sides of the ball. Preparation through a tougher schedule and road games...us. We win big on the 5th.

While a 10-14 pt difference, either way, would not be shocking, the most likely outcome is a single digit game.

It has the feel of a 19-17 kinda game.
