Miles is dangerous with time to prepare. Saban teams have tended to play flat coming off a bye week, dating back to his days at LSU.

Miles does better with time to prepare and we've got a few injuries.

Do not know what Miles track record was as an Oklahoma St. coach with the bye weeks but his track record at LSU is better than Saban Bama/LSU.

Since the turn around of this program in 2000 and even in some of the Dinardo bowl bound teams, rested fresh legs have translated to pistol whippings in bowl games.

Bye weeks tend to help Miles's teams, and hurt Saban's. You might argue that the theory is overdone, but I definitely think there is a real effect there, and it makes sense considering their personalities and they way they approach big games.

And technically, it's an open date.

I saw a tweet earlier today that quoted Saban as saying that he realizes this game is going to be hyped up, but everyone just needs to chill out. I just don't get that attitude. Of course it's possible to ge too hyped up, but you can also overdue it the other way too.

Miles hasnt really had to dig very deep into the playbook so far this year. Lets be honest, its been pretty vanilla, with a little wrinkle here or there.

I would believe that Miles will have all his wrinkles ready to use against Bama. No reason to hold em back anymore.

Honestly Im not sure how anyone can say this bye week benefits Bama. In fact if we both didnt have a bye week it would be better for Bama. You dont wanna give Miles extra time.

I would say that based on the way the Tigers have ignored all outside distractions..the week will not bother them. Alabama seems to be a little more susceptible to highs and lows. It sure looked like they were looking ahead to LSU during the first half of the Tennessee game.

LSU The OL is a little banged up it gives them time to heal. Also I believe Miles will have a few tricks up his sleeve.

I think the reason Sabear's teams have been a little flat coming off bye weeks is that for 2 weeks he wears their asses (verbally) out with game planning. He needs to give his guys a break, but he can't do it, he's too intense.

Miles and the staff have been impressive coming off long breaks. I would hope PJ gets a chance to completely heal and can make a big difference if he's back to normal. I'll also be very surprised if there's not a bunch of offense we have'nt seen yet...let's face it, Miles has'nt had to put the pedal to the metal yet.
