Since gameday's gonna be at Michigan State this Saturday, I'm definitely gonna be there. Since it's been to LSU and other SEC schools a lot recently, how early do you folks think I be there to get a good spot?

For a big ten crowd? Get there 5 minutes prior for the best spot.

Whatever you think is unreasonably early, get there before that.

I've gone an hour into the show before and managed to get a prime spot. Half the people there are just checking it out and don't care to stay the whole time.

The Oregon Gameday, you had to be there around 4:30am for the 6:00am start.

Dedication.

Yeah, I'm only going this time because I doubt they'll be back any time soon. It may suck, but whatever. I just want to see what it's all about.

What's funny is the Wisky, Ohio State, Nebraska Gameday crowds and the best student section in CFB...Penn State (Paternoville) say you're a frickin' idiot. Congrats!

Well in Afghanistan the unit replacing us was from Wisconsin. Wisconsin was playing #1 Ohio St on AFN and they had a total of 2 people watch the game. Those two didn't even know any of their players. Big Ten fans are a complete joke. We would have 30 to 40 for the hog games that made it on AFN.

They did have about 10 that would watch packer games though.

We woke up at 3:30... got to Gameday by 4am... And still didn't make it into the gated section at Gameday for tOSU/UM 06. Then we couldn't even see the screens or commentators due to all the signs people were holding up and left 10 minutes into the show.

Worst waste of time in my life. Crucial drinking time was wasted and it was cold as shite.

First time in East Lansing????
Wisco and their fans are in town???
Get there early, i am thinking 6 am.

Where are they setting up??? Parking lot on south side of stadium??? Been to East Lansing a few times. Good times.

However dont be surprised if you think its(Gameday) sucks and is not worth your morning.

During my four college years it came to Alabama four times. I went to two(freshman and and i probably stayed a maximum of 30 minutes each time. Saw some celebrities and left.

Standing up to watch a show that I could easily enjoy on tv with breakfast and a bloddy mary was always much more appealling.

I went to Gameday for the 06' #1 Ohio State vs #2 Michigan game. My friends and I headed there after a night of drinking around 3:00am and we barely got into the gated section. The people who got there really early were put right behind stage and couldn't be seen because they were so close to it. The people who got the most camera time were the ones who just came 1 or 2 hours early.

I guess it's cool to say that you've been to Gameday but I would never waste my time going to another one.

They're way more into it than I'd ever be. Even when I was a student at LSU I think I only went once, for 2003 UGA, and even then I walked up like 15 minutes before it started

Alabama? Most fans for them must feel like you.

The worst gameday crowds I've ever seen (at least on TV) was last year Penn State at Alabama and later that year Alabama at South Carolina. Bama is quieter than a church mouse - lot of senior citizens.

Eugene is small - it's all about the University and the game.

USC, UCLA or UW just wouldn't care as much in huge cities.

I hope you're a student, because most lots don't open until 1. You may have to park and walk to Munn.
