Why did Michael Ford only get one carry?

Sorry if this is Germans. I had to work and was forced to listen to the game on the Gator propaganda network here in Tampa. Did he get hurt? I know all our backs did well, but I figured he'd have at least 5 carries.

He must be in Les' doghouse.

As usual search function is your friend, you're about 16 hours late to the discussion.

Because Blue is currently playing better than Ford. You know, putting the best players on the field thing

Oops! Should have searched first indeed. I do see it was a topic last night. Anyway,I will conclude that we are simply loaded at running back.

Because you touch yourself at night

Hoping its more of a rotational thing. Let him and Blue get the majority of the carries next week and let Ware rest up a bit

Word is he sucks at pass blocking, although Ford is the only back on the team with 5+ yds/carry
Eta: i would come up with some lame excuse like "Miles goes with whoever has the hot hand", but honestly, Ford seems to always be hot (no homo)

The Blue family house burned down. i wouldn't put it past miles at all to play him more b/c he felt sorry for him. worked out though, blue had a nice game and i like the way he runs

Dude, this really doesn't make sense. Sure, Blue has played well the last couple games, but Ford played great against WVU and then Les decided to play Blue a lot against Kentucky (the worst defense we've played besides Northwestern) and he did well so then Les played him against Florida over Ford. If you go by the numbers Ford is easily our best back. I think when he gets the same amount of touches as the other backs he produces better than anyone. He has the most yards per carry at 5.3, he has the most touchdowns, and he has one less rushing yard than Ware even though Ware has 20 more carries. I do think Blue is playing well and should get some touches, but I just think Ford should be our guy. It's frustrating when I'm at the game yesterday and Ware is in the game, Blue and Magee are next to Les on the sidelines, and Ford is a few feet behind them with his hands on his hips and shaking his head. (Actually happened)

Haha. My friend have been saying the exact same thing. Les always benches my favorite back.

The running back position actually requires more from players than just taking a handoff and running the football, surprisingly enough.
Add a fumble to poor pass protection overall and you wont see the field, simple as that

And that's the problem with numbers, because obviously he isn't.

i dont get it either with Ford, its clear he is better than Blue...maybe the fumble or his poor arse blocking has led to this, still woul have like to see more of him, its obvious he is in the doghouse

which is why you don't go by the numbers. Ford had 9 carries vs. Kentucky and didn't run well at all, then he drops the pitch. Blue comes in and runs well. With the depth at RB, if you're not maximizing every opportunity in each game and practice, you're going to get passed.

not the type of attitude that will get you back in the game.
