Anybody thinks JL can make it through the Bama game w/o getting hurt?

Our o-line play has been barely above average at best and JL is basically a statue sitting back there similar to Brantley from UF.

We all know Saban will load the box to stop the run, blitz and try to put pressure on Lee to make mistakes. We also know that Lee does not like contact and has a tendency to throw off his back foot when hurried.

Given the play of our o-line and JL inability to escape the blitz, I have my doubts that JL can make it through this game given what I've seen from Bama this year.

Bama's defense is equal to our own. Hell they may be a tad better because of Saban's influence.

Just wanted to express my concerns about this game and see what yall thought. Yeah, I know we have three more games before the Bama game, but I'm not too concern about the other games as I am about this one.

Hell, he might not even get out of the Florida game. They are going to blitz the ever loving shite out of him and hope he starts throwing the ball up for grabs like he's been known to do (even this year). His being such a statue scares the shite out of me. Now, if he can hang in the pocket long enough and scan the field, he should be able to hit some guys for some big plays. Will be interesting.

I think what goes around comes around and McCarron needs to go down.

he prolly can, he'll just run away and sling the ball off his back foot while falling backwards to avoid contact like he does every game.

We just need to run the ball well. He gets time to throw on PA passes

The offensive line hasn't been stellar but they've done a pretty fine job in pass pro if you ask me

I think he does. It's possible for him to be hit and not get hurt. Happens all the time in football.

Lee has been sacked 3 times all year (leads the SEC), so I don't know why you say our OL lay has been average at best. Yes, Bama will be the best defense we'll play all year, but Lee's protection has been pretty good so far. I'm sure Bama will try to rattle Lee, but so far this year (and much of last year too), Bama hasn't been as blitz heavy as Saban defenses usually are. And why do you ask if Lee will get hurt? Injuries happen and Brantley's was just a freak injury where his foot got caught underneath him

I'm hoping for a few shovel passes some counter runs, WR Screen and Slants. Basically stuff we have not seen this year...because you are correct.

I will point out though that FLA tried to run the ball a lot with a single back...we do use a full back

If he doesn't it's a good thing we have 2 serviceable backups now.

I don't think we'll be able to do this consistently. Just like Bama won't be able to do this consistently against our defense either.

I'll be surprise if either team gets 100 total yards rushing.

We will need to have plays where he can get rid of the ball quickly if it becomes a problem.

I wish i could say the keys to keeping the pressure off of him is a good running game, but considering they held Fla to 15 yards, i wouldnt expect to break 100.

quick passes, TE, WR bubble screens, move the pocket (we did some of this last week)

ill bet almost anyting Bama has more rushing yards than we do. They have the better O line, and the better RB.

maybe, 110 yards for Bama, and 70 for LSU.

no more than 30 offensive points scored in this game.

JLee has been sacked 3 (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) times this year? They may be getting better, but earlier in the season the 'Bama fans were complaining/discussing that they had very little pass rush.

I'm sure JL will get knocked around a few times, but I don't expect him to get hammered like the UF QBs.

They started rolling JL out the last game to get him ready for upcoming games. Im more worried about our WR's catching those passes.

Where are you getting this from? Our O-line has played exponentially better than last year. Pretty decent if you ask me.

JLee will definitely make it through the Bama game. I think you're really underestimating the Oline. I can't remember any team getting a lot of pessure on Lee so far. Stud and Krags have been calling a lot of quick passes for Lee and can do the same thing against Bama to keep rushers off Lee
